Optimizing energy consumption and reducing environmental impact is now a priority for companies that want to combine operational efficiency and sustainability.
The company set itself the goal of modernizing its thermal power plant, replacing the existing heat generator–fired with BTZ (low sulfur)–with a more efficient and less environmentally impactful solution. The choice fell on a generator fueled by biomass, a renewable source that reduces emissions and improves the overall sustainability of the plant.
The intervention included:

Replacement of the heat generator
The old BTZ-fueled system was decommissioned and replaced with a new biomass boiler that provides greater efficiency and lower emissions.

Integration with existing system
The new thermal power plant was designed to integrate with the company’s energy infrastructure, optimizing fuel consumption.

Access to Conto Termico incentives
The installation of the boiler made it possible to obtain an economic incentive aimed at encouraging the transition to renewable energy sources.
The total investment for the intervention was about €80,000.
